SEAL STRETCHER helps to install PTFE piston seals by expanding sizes. Applicable ID: 35-250mm, Maxium height: 7.5mm.

Application

1. Heat the PTFE ring to 120 °C in an adjustable temperature electric furnace, until the PTFE ring becomes softer.

2. Set the nut on the tool to adjust the extent of maximal stretching.

3. Place the PTFE  ring on the tool, then press down the handle firmly with even force.

4. Place the PTFE (and the o-ring) over the groove, and constrict the seal back to nominal size with a seal constrictor tool.
